We made 15,000 calls to API with the same parameters. Obviously, it was our bad, but would love detection so we might be alerted of obvious duplicate calls to a profile of say over x calls to the same API in a month.

+1 to the above. We would love a duplicate call detection/alert/prevention or a refund in situations where we've pulled the same data. Say e.g. we run through 10k duplicate calls, that's a $1,000 charge which can really hurt for us as a small startup. Other data providers we've used do not charge for a duplicate call.
