Validating LinkedIn URL's and marking LinkedIn URL as historical/active would be very useful, enabling presenting a URL as live or not.

As of v27.1 (August '24) we remove inactive / historical URLs from the top-level linkedin_url field.

All linkedin_url values are either validated as active or unknown (but are in our pipeline to be validated).

We're planning to begin validating and removing 404 profiles from the top-level linkedin_url field in v27.0 (July release).

We currently aren't planning to externalize our validation metadata, but to provide the utility / value in our primary profile tagging.
