The challenge currently is that a lot of company and industry categorization seems antiquated and non-specific. One example given by a user was a company like Stripe might be categorized as just a bank and thus miss out on the fact that they're primarily known as a Financial Technology Startup. Providing more detailed and modern signals about a company and its field would drive more insights on the people that work at them and their experience.

In addition to the existing Summary field, add new sources of company descriptive text from social media profiles, job posting footer text, company websites, and other sources.

recent_exec_hires is currently built to capture any new executive job title to surface new hires and promotions. This is confusing and possibly misleading as the previous_company_x fields populate based on the last known company. The only way to check if the profile is a net-new hire or a promotion is to compare the joined_date to the experience.end_date where job_company_id = previous_company_id The proposed solution would be to create a new field called recent_exec_internal_changes that only captures executive job changes where job_company_id does not change between job_title changes.

Roughly 2.4mmm companies have employee_count but no company location. Please increase company location coverage.
